a tidbit of inside information I recieved pretty much goes as follows.......Late last night/Early this morning Chris Benoit smothered his Wife and Son, and evidently made his way to the basement where he hung himself. As far as logic......? What I got out of it, was that his wife was leaving him and taking his son which seems to be motiv. And for Christ's sake, manythis isnt a joke

The People in WWE do not know what happened. They are paying tribute to a great wrestler and frankly nobosy really knows anything yet. It was only a matter of minutes before someone came out with something about the death of benoit and his family. The fact is that the autopsies are not expected until tomorrow, so until then nobody really knows what happened to any of them. I think wwe is doing exactly what they should do at this time, even if he turns out to be a murderer, his wife and son deserve the respect of this tribute. it is as much for them as it is for chris.

There is nothing confirmed yet, so dont say he killed his family bc that is not known. Even if Benoit did do that I will always have respect for him as a person and a wrestler for what he has done for this industry. It is never a mistake to do anything involving Benoit, he was one of the truely great wrestlers in this business.

the tribute was to the athlete and his family. also all the great things he did for this sport. i saw him at a live show less than a month ago. he electrified the arena with his diving headbutt the he gave to edge. he will be missed by all. wrestling stood still today and weather you loved him or hated him he gave the fans their moneys worth. and as the undertaker would say.

im not sure if he commited those crimes, i dont think he did, but im not gonna make assumptions until i see the results of the autopsy, and they find out what really happened. right now its just all rumors, no one knos the truth of what happened.
and NO they did not make a mistake...how could u say that. no matter what hes done, hes still a great wrestler, and a great man of respect, im sure he didnt do that. if he did, ill still respect him for all the great that hes done.
u dont kno if he did that or not, so why call him a murderer?

I agree that is what it appears to be, but the tribute was to Chris Benoit the wrestler not the murderer.

It's very troubling.
IF he did do this, he is an asshole who doesn't deserve a tribute.
IF she did it, this is an amazingly shocking tragedy for Benoit, his fans and the WWE.
It's one hell of a story. That's not a good thing, but it just is.

How do you know this is how they died? Were you there? The only ones who know what really happened are dead. Unless someone else was involved that didn't come forward.
But anywho, to answer your question, they gave a tribute to a fine athelete, I don't think that they made a mistake.
