I would like a place which close to or is warm all year round. I would like to have a home on a hill that is not far from the beach but not far from the mountains either. I also want to plant tropical fruits and vegetables and yams and grow banana trees in my back yard. Please help. I have to move within a week. I'm so tired of moving and confused as to where would be the best place for a single person to live. And i don't want to wait until i'm married to purchase a home...that is not so expensive. I currently live in Orlando adn love the tropical climate but I don't know if it is the place for me or if I should stay here any longer. I need to be somewhere where there is nice people. I have no family here. Thanks

Costa Rica might be worth looking into. It has all you are looking for, and the cost of living is much less than here. If you speak Spanish and can create a business that will hire local people, I understand a residency permit is relatively easy to get. Take a look at the Embassy of Costa Rica website to see what some of the rules are. Good luck!

You're describing a Mediterranean climate. Parts of California would fit your description, except that it's pretty expensive. The coast of Central Chile would fit, as well as the coast of the North Island of New Zealand. In the Mediterranean itself, parts of Italy would fit, as would parts of the coast of France. You might like some of the Greek Islands. Check out Crete and Corfu. If you want to get a little more exotic, there are beautiful places in Albania, Croatia and Slovenia that meet all your criteria and where you could live very well on not much money. Good luck!

I'm sorry but.....No I'm not. I'm not going to apologize for loving America.
I've been to the mysterious far East, to the Orient, the cradle of the Orient, Viet Nam in the late 60's, what an experience.....
I've been all over American throughout the last twenty-five years and, it never ceases to amaze me. Every time I go on a trip, it's like the first time, in America. I love you baby, and always will.
I'm sure there are many places in this world that are nice but, I'll bet there's only one America, the freedom of speech, the freedom of religion, the freedom of the press. Fair police action where you can trust them. Maybe you don't like our politics but, where can you do better.

Where ever I've been, as long as Old Glory has been waving, I've felt at ease. Thank you.

Arizona around the phoenix area specifically. If you like the heat it's perfect. Although we have no beaches close, we do have plenty of mountains. No humidity, no mosquitoes, and hardly any rain. You can grow almost anything, it's a zone 9.

Good luck on your journey!
