Why people always say that when you do things like, playing a sport competition, having a baby, giving a speech, run a business or whatever, you should be ready mentally or u will fail?

In my humble opinion, I believe you should always be prepared
mentally cause I believe that the mind will , with the help of your emotions and focus of the two together will determine the rate of success of whatever it is your part-taking in. Failure starts from with in us , not from outside. Power of positive thinking and feelings will most always prevail a successful outcome. Especially, if the motive is healthy for you and those around.

Its really focus, understanding what is needed mentally to do the task. Being prepared, knowing what is expected of you,and doing your best. FOCUS

You won't necessarily fail, but too many people jump into things without considering all of the consequences.

Its an age old saying. If you believe in yourself, than you don't doubt what you are attempting to do. No doubt leads to increased motivation, and that in turn results in a better outcome.
