It never ceases to amazes me the level of the comments people give on this forum. Where does all the bitterness and cynicism come from? Do people who make such hateful cruel comments have meaningful relationships and lives outside of the net?

I agree. There are really some lost souls that use Yahoo Answers. You can tell by the way they write that they are very unhappy, dis-satisfied, wandering around with no goals or leadership to help them out. They sound like people that have no morals and do whatever they think is the right thing to make them happy. In other words, they are like 2 year olds that are given no guidance by their parents and they have had to make decisions when the parents should have been telling them what, where and when to do. They were incapable of making the right decisions so just floundered around. I personally know some kids that actually raised themselves. They still hang on to those decisions they had to make as 2 year olds.....and you are seeing them on YA. Also their knowledge of the English language is so small that they revert back to vulgarity and profanity to express themselves. Pops

Some people make bitter comments because it's the only life they've ever known. I'm sure people have made bitter comments toward them all the time so they become very bitter themselves! Also they probably have very low standards and are willing to surround themselves with hateful, bitter and angry people because happy, good natured people aren't attracted to those types of personalities...it's a vicious cycle.

Dude, I was kinda gothic all the way back in the '90s. I've seen or heard of or read about so much filth it would make a priest go crazy. The internet is just another outlet for it.

Don't base the harshness you see on here as any basis of reality - I'm sure at least some of these mooks must have an life outside of the wide world of Yahell ;);););)
Most of these posts are from bored (and probably drunk/stoned) 15-year olds who have NOTHING better to do - especially since summer vacation has just started...
Everybody get out your bats and clubs - it's going to be a rough next three months or so...

I don't know, but it really does break my heart to read some of the things that ppl say on here, that is why I rarely come here anymore...There is nothing rude necessary, but it is said anyways...

anonymity seems to have a hand in it. It seems that the ability to say whatever you wish without relating to your 'real' person brings out the worst in some people.
That's my theory anyway.
