unfortunately you are not even a lessor, so I don't think you have any recourse or time. You are essentially a guest in their home and they are asking you to leave. If you have been paying rent, then maybe you would be able to argue for 30 days notice, but that's about it. The real question is where the hell is your fiance???? Why in the world is he not sticking up for you. If he's that spineless, maybe you should just go home to your family and forget the asylum that you are living in.

You're on a verbal lease, at this point. It could vary by state, but in theory you should have 30 days minimum. Under normal conditions, that would actually mean 30 days after the end of the current month, so as long as 59 days, and no shorter than 30, assuming you're working off a calendar month.
The real question is, how long can you bear to live in a situation like that? Sounds miserable.

I recamend you contact your family back home. They love you and would probably take you back in at any given time, or at least a best friend. Your mother in law to be is definatly mental to be blunt. She apears to be bi-polar. I would leave for a little while and chill out, she may come around and realize she is not being rational. Conact your fiance where is he, see if he can calm her down. If everyone already knows she has mental issues, then I am sure someone would be willing to help you out in some way. They cant expect you to live on the street, especially if someone has room for you in there home. It doesnot have to be perminant, ask someone if you can stay for a short amount of time until you can figure out what to do. Good luck to you, and pray about it, God does not leave His followers, in the cold for long, only long enough to get you to move towards HIM. Trust in God, he will see through if you ask.

Since you didn't sign a lease there are no contractual evidence saying you have so long to get out. If they tell you to get out you need to get out. It is just a matter of how long they will give you and if they take legal action against you. Ask her how long you have and if the situation is serious you may need to discuss the situation with a lawyer and see what he/she advises. I would contact a lawyer I'm sure he could tell you the basics over the phone.
Good Luck

First, you need to check into the laws in the town you live in, every town and state differs, but usually its a week to 30days.
Second, look online for jobs in the field you are best at, then also look online for people who are looking for roomates. If you can find a job and a roomate, then you are golden.
Thier are also shelters you can advise.
Also, check out the website seekingarraingement.com its free for a woman to register, and its all about finding a friend with bennies who can help you out of a slump.
Goodluck, I have been in similar positions and got out of it, if you need further assistance, then write to rn26_connell@yahoo. I would be happy to walk you though this.

You did a foolish thing but, now you know it. In Michigan, if your invited in, you can't be evicted or tossed out, that's it.
Call the local sheriffs office and see what their laws pertain to. Of course, if they want you out, they could make it pretty rough.
