I think he showed himself to dispell the rumors of his own passing(which everyone knows was a set up for a storyline).And normally they would have gone on with the show.Its the first time I've ever seen this happen in WWE.It would have been in bad taste to continue the storyline given the recent developments in the Benoit suicide/murder case.

yes vince isnt that big of an asshole that he would choose to make his storyline plot work whenever one of his employees has been found dead. of course he showed his face, he was the one that broke the news to the entire world and gave the introduction.

Vince said he fake his death but Chris is truly dead Chris killed his family and him self., i blame wwe for all the stress they put on the wrestlers.
