And while you say I'm full of sh*t, you lacked to provide an adequate answer. Could it be there is not one?

Stability? I thought it was to find WMD? Then I thought to findd Bin Laden? Where did those excuses disappear to? Stability is the new scape goat.

If you read that resolution there are many themes that are present. Those themes can be summed up as WMDs, links to terrorism, threat to the US and hostility toward the UN. The first three turned out to be false. There are some others, but they aren't the important ones.

Then, there has been many reasons brought up since this resolution. For instance, does the resolution go into spreading democracy in the middle east?

So yes, there has been inconsistencies from the president as far as why we went to war. And there was false reasons given for why we went to war

tttplttttt, I resent that. 15 year olds can come up with more than decent answers. Besides, I am 16, and even I know that the future is usually determined by the past (hence "history repeats itself). You wouldn't let someone who was convicted of child molestation twelve years ago and went through all the rehabilitation baby sit your kids, now would you? Also, do you want your government to lie to you? Because I sure as heck don't appreciate it. He was wrong. But he was knowingly wrong, and we, the people who he is supposed to represent, weren't told about it for a long time after we had invaded. What's wrong with wanting a little truth? You complain about "flip flopping" - changing his reasons IS "flip flopping." How can it not be? Besides, y'all dwell on stuff too, you can't deny that. Why? Because this is a debate.

Besides, if you're going to answer a question, I think everyone here would appreciate it if you showed a little respect. Such as not typing profanities to the questioner. Got it?

Wow, you act like you're younger than a 15 year old.

Also, it's interesting that you only complain about the WMD one, but not the other reasons.

I don't know what his media reason is, but honestly, it's for the oil and as a means to control the people of this country, like in 1984 by George Orwell. Keeping the people in constant fear, or making them angry somehow, like with the anti-gay statements, the illegal immigrant issue...and interestingly enough, only about two or three (if that) civil rights cases have made it to the Supreme Court during all of Bush's reign. We're so preoccupied with other countries who have oil (notice how we haven't done anything for Mexico?) that we don't even have time for our own country. Hm. That reminds me of a certain world war...History does repeat itself.

mckenziecalhoun, I realize all of those might be true. But by using the conservatives' logic, I'm trying to make a point. And all of the examples are not "flip flopping." They blamed Kerry of "flip flopping." I'm showing that their own Prez. Dubya isn't completely exempt from changing his mind. I think he's just finding reasons to be there - for the oil, and to finish what he started. But he won't, it'll extend into the next presidency. I don't think he can pin-point a solid reason why we are there. P.S. Dude! DnD? :) I've heard 3.0 was the best.

There are a number of reasons.

It's only those trying to simplify complex political and economic events into a single cause that are confused and think people (for and against) are flip-flopping and changing their minds.

I ask a friend why he is visiting:
"I'm here to see you."
"I'm visiting family."
"I had nothing else to do."
"There's a fair going on in the area."
"I had the money."
"I thought it would be fun."

You wouldn't understand that all these might be true?

That's not a commentary on President Bush.

Stability to a new Democracy, same as it's always been since they toppled Saddam's regime.
(I think you're full of sh*t.) ;-)

::That *is* the answer. Can't handle the truth?

:::You didn't read the Joint Resolution, did you?
Here you go:

It's fun to use the WMD's issue over and over, if you're 15 years old, but that wasn't the only reason we went into Iraq. You're sadly mistaken about going to Iraq to find Bin Laden. Jeeze.

"They tried to kill my daddy!"
no--i think he used that.
"They dont like the way we cheer at football games."
NOPE--Already been used.

The IGNORANCE of this war, is...."unwordable"
You may say, "threres no such word."
Exactly! a perfect fit..for this IGNORANT war.

I can give you though, some what of a difinition of the word...."unwordable":
When a second grade school teacher asks 'little johnney,'
WHY? WHY Little Johnney, are you doing this? W H Y !!!
And his aswer is so INORANTLY STUPID, that she has no choice but to SMACK that dumb boys head till his ears ring.....its because, his answer was unwordable.

Why don't more people ask this question? Have they completely let their lives be controlled by a man with an IQ lower than most of theirs? Bush's reasons are as trivial, as they are lucrative, as they are secretive. The worst president ever and hopefully that will remain true. (Though I doubt it.) :(
