Okay......I'm 14 and I'm scared that I may have breast cancer.

These are my symptoms:

1). When I was on my cycle, my chests were hurting a bit, and I accidently laid the wrong way and I put my habd up there where it was hurting. I felt something like a lump. It wasn't overly hard, it was a lil soft and mushy like and movable.

2). I told my mom and she explained to me that at that time of the month, you can have slight lumps and pain. I felt a little relieved, but still kinda worried. After my cycle, it got littler, so I stopped paying attetion to it. Til now....it just clicked in my mind to check it again. It feels the same as it did when I was on my last cycle. [my next cycle is about a week in a half and my breasts are getting kinda tender].

3). I have no other symptoms at all...nothing.

4). The lump [?] feels sorta like muscle....it is from the top of my breast to the bottom....

5). I think I may have slight hypocondria and maybe I'm going through another phase....

like when I have headaches I think I have a bad illness.

6). My aunt just got diagnosed with breast cancer. That scared me so I'm more worried than usual. My granpa also just died from cancer.

7). my mom says she'll make me an appointment, but I'm seriously afraid of what may happen....I'm actually crying right now.

What are symptoms of fibrocystic breasts?

Also, I'm only 14....

The lump is right in the corner of my right breast....not on my armpit...but somewhat near it....my lymphs are not swollen.

Breasts ALWAYS get lumpy during cycles! It's nothing to worry about. I highly doubt you have breast cancer at your age....

A lot of the women that have breast cancer are older with kids.

You do have hypochondria, and if you're crying right now, it's not slight, it's upsetting you unnecessarily. First of all, any lump that is soft and movable is not cancer. At least that's my understanding. Second of all, and more importantly, don't ever allow yourself to go on day after day and be afraid of something you may or may not have. If you find yourself stressing over a medical symptom, go to the doctor and get it checked out. That's the ONLY thing that will make you feel better. Even if you're scared out of your wits to go to the doctor, do it anyway. Don't sit around being afraid. I know this from experience. You will be fine and eventually know how to handle these type of feelings.

I doubt you have breast cancer, as at your age your hormones are racing around, and breast tend to be somewhat lumpy.
As your body prepares it self for pregnancy (ovulation), your hormones are at their highest peak, then decrease until its time for your period, so your breast will be tender as those hormone levels change in your body.
Breast may feel more lumpy around your period time as well, but thats hormones as well.
Breast cancer typically is not painful. And the lump doesnt change during your cycle. It will be present all the time, and would appear to grow bigger... also your breast are still growing!
Your too young to get breast cancer so it is very unlikely, but good on you for starting the habit of regular breast examination!
Also, you said that you tend to get worried over nothing, like when you have a headache... so that should be somewhat of a relief for you. Its great that you have a good relationship with you mum, and that you can talk to her. Thats important.

So, just relax, and go see your doctor and let them reassure you that your ok.

At your age it is very rare to have breast cancer. It's like what your mom said. Sometimes these lumps, which is likely a cyst, can stay for a while or reappear with the next period. It's probably nothing to worry about.

Don't worry. It is about a 3% chance out of 100%. Don't cry, everything will be okay. The symptoms are dealing with your period. I'm on my period now and I have tender breasts, and sometimes they're sore.

It's your mammory gland. All women have them. That's where the breast milk comes from. It's nothing to be worried about! The pain is probably just from PMS.
