Definately one I've seen recently. :D Cutler Beckett from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. I loved how he was calmly and proudly striding down the stairs of the ship's upper deck, cannons being fired at him from both sides, not a speck of fear in his eyes as he was sedated from all of this action by a snap of the mind. Pieces of wood flying in the air, shrapnel he needed to keep the ship in one piece, all whizzing past him and him walking unscathed. And finally, when he stops, he seems to realize his doom, and an explosion from below claims his life as his eyes widen only slightly, knowing his time has come. And if that isn't the most awesome death scene, I don't know what is.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 when Uma Thurman's character kills Lucy Lu's character, the samurai in the Japanese garden in the snow. Oddly it is very elegant.
Almost death scene: when Dezel Washington was going to commit suicide to give his son his heart in John Q. What a tear jerker.
AND in City of Angels when Meg Ryan is hit by the semi and she tells Nic Cage that when they ask her what her favorite part of being human was she will say it was him. Sigh.

I would definitely have to say Denzel Washington's death in "Man of Fire". In order to save the little girl he has been protecting and get her back to her mother; he gives his own life to the crim's. Very sad but unbelievably touching it was!
