either with the engine noise or the exhaust???

You will hear a kind of air sucking noise. They sound pretty good but its not super noticeable. It also depends what brand it is. It also depends on what type of vehicle your putting it on. If you just put an intake filter it wont be too noticable but if you put the whole piping, you should hear something. I say put it on. Its an easy bolt on for a few more horsepower!

Intake noise will be noticeably loulder. On engine with variable camshaft timing you can hear the change over.

My experiance was a deaper tone in the exhaust. 95 nissan pickup. 97 ford ranger and 03 f150.

not really. it wouldmake it run a lot better and more horse power along with torque but not sound. try an exhaust for sound that will wake it right up =)
