they are when you have to put the laundry on the line or fold the laundry or put the laundry away. But once the clothes are in drawers or hanging in a closet,they're a wardrobe and when you wear them,they're just clothes until you have to wash them,when they're considered laundry again. Confusing, i know :p

I know of dirty & clean laundry. Once you put away the clean one, it's no longer laundry.

If they are clean,dry,folded, ironed, put away and ready to wear again I would not consider them laundry until they are dirty and need to be cleaned all over again.

Yep laundry untill they are clean and put away ... cothes when put away or being worn, laundry again when they are back in the hamper waiting to be washed

Interesting question that I never thought of before! I don't think anyone would refer to them as laundry once they have been washed and put away. :-)

yeah, thats why we say "dirty" laundry needs to be washed. or the clean laundry is in the basket.
