You will not have a problem...you would be amazed at how many do not drink.
I never did! I hung around the cafe and drank tea! I made some amazing friends too!
So, don't worry, be yourself and stay away from those party goers...you won't need them, you will make your own fun!
GOOD LUCK AND BLESSINGS

Whatever Congress decides or doesn't decide, any legislation it tries to pass will be rendered moot. The mere attempt by legislators is nothing more than political grandstanding. It's like you saying you're against global warming. Sure, you're against it, but you can't make it change one way or another. Let's say such a bill does pass Congress. All the NCAA would have to do at that point is sue in the legislative branch and there the proposal will die. Congress would try to argue that the BCS is a living, breathing violation of existing anti-trust legislation but the fact is there is no violation no matter how anyone might try to spin the argument. However remote the possibility might be, every FBS team theoretically has a chance to play for the title. Thus, no anti-trust laws have been violated. And on top of that, there's nothing to stop any FBS team from dropping down to the FCS level where playoffs are in effect. Again, no anti-trust violation. It's not that I'm against a playoff but the financial reality of the situation is that the current bowl system without any doubt whatsoever generates more revenue than any 8 or 16 team playoff format ever could.

Very many do drink and party a lot in college. You don't have to in order to be accepted though. You can go to parties and not drink and go home early. No one will care. You will meet many serious students too; the ones would need to study and / or work rather than party.
You will be fine at college. Hopefully you can go home and visit your family on the weekends and won't get roped into the weekend partying.

The one thing that's nice about college is that you can be whoever you want to be. If you don't like to drink, then you don't drink. If some people don't like it, then who cares. College is preparing you for adulthood and in the real world, there are a zillion different types of people. It's only for you to decide what you want to do or not to do. College is the time where you don't have to care if you don't "fit in" to some clique. And you don't have to care what other people think about you. You're in college to get an education to get a career and be out in the world. It's a time when you get a backbone and do what you feel is right. Be true to yourself!

No, everyone doesn't drink in college, and even if they did, that shouldn't be a problem for you. I don't really drink and was able to hang out and have fun with people who drank. You can have fun -just don't drink if you don't want to. It's not like high school. People are more willing to let you be yourself without pressuring you to "fit in". If you feel pressured to do something you're uncomfortable with, then leave. It's all about how comfortable you are with yourself. Good luck.

I came from a very strict upbringing. Yet when i moved away to college I didn't go nuts or smoke dope. I did have the odd drink but that was my choice. But i made sure I didnt' hang around the wrong crowd. You will see how the girls and men act and how permisquious they are and how they handle themselves and then you will know if you want to be in that kind of company. and yes there are girls that arn't into that i found that in college as well. some to extreme and over relgious they weren't my cup of tea either but you find all types and you find out who's more up your ally to hang out with. at first you watch and see how people are then you will come to learn fast who's the sleeze who's the dope addicts etc.. and you meet up with someone you would like to hang out with.

Where I go to school not everyone drinks. if you prefer to not party or drink, decide on a standpoint and stick with it; know your reasons why not and be self-assured when you give them to pple who ask. I enjoyed my freshman year of college and didn't drink. I even went to parties and didn't drink and connected with some great pple at those parties who didn't drink either. there's loads of fun to be had in both realms, just make sure whatever you do you're doing it for yourself and not anyone else.

Of course not. The beauty of college is that you get to meet different people who enjoy different things. I'm sure you'll meet others who don't like to drink or party so hard, others who party but don't drink, others who drink excessively and party the same, etc, etc. Just b/c others do it doesn't mean that you should. Trust me, as long as you stay true to yourself and your likes, you'll attract the same kind of people. Just study hard and enjoy ;)

Almost everyone drinks in college. Being in the same situation myself, it was a bit hard? You can always look at your college for clubs or groups that don't drink, particularly if you are religious. If you're not into that, you can just hang out with people who drink, and not drink yourself. There are definitely people in college who aren't partiers though.

No not everyone drinks in college. Mostly everyone in college drinks. It doesn't have to be difficult to meet new people because you don't drink, however it cause you to become more tolerable of those who do. You will be able to make new friends and not compromise your beliefs, unless you want to.
