Oh sure it does, or at least did for me. Use a just opened, full 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke, drop at least one Mento mint into the Coke. Be sure to be outside 'cause your will have a boil over.

Care must be taken when doing this experiment, yes it does work and is quite violent once the mentos are added. Wear clothing you dont mind messing up, and I hope you run fast.

You tube it. I think the cola has to be kind of warm and you need a lot of mentos.

if you mix a pack of Mentos breath fresheners with a 2 liter bottle of any diet soda and it will shoot about 20 feet in the air good luck bye.

then you did it wrong, dude...
put a piece of tagboard over the top of an opened diet coke bottle, stick 6 to 8 mentos into a test tube and invert it over the tagboard. with one deft maneuver, remove the tagboard to allow the mentos to splash into the coke... get back unless you like to be wet and sticky.
works every time.

You have to put all the mentos in at once, and then close the bottle really f*cking quickly. I've done it before, it's kinda neat.

Do a search on youtube.com for coke+mentos and it comes up with nearly 10,000 videos, so yes, I think that plenty of people have done it!

instead of using the cap, put the mentos into a 2 liter bottle of diet coke (not caffeine free!) put your hand over the top tightly and shake it. now while pointing it away from you, remove your hand!

oh man it works great make sure you use diet coke and regular mentos the flavored ones dont work
