Im having trouble hooking up the throtle and shifter cables. Any help is greatly apriciated.

Look at where they go. One to throttle, the other to the shifter. Have someone shift the control box forward/reverse and look at the cables to see which is the shift cable. It will move in both directions and the throttle only move out/in as you push the shift/throttle lever further. The cables adjust. on the Shift, have the control in neutral and spin the prop to be sure the engine in neutral, you may have to use a screwdriver to shift the engine to neutral. Then screw your cable adjustment to line everything up and install. On the throttle it the same. In neutral be sure the linkage on the engine is in the idle position and adjust the cable to line up. Then check it all. You really need a water muff so you can start in the yard. When you start it and it idle too high after shifting and giving some gas and going back to neutral, then you may need to readjust the throttle cable.

i would say, since it's a Chrysler, the rope should go around the flywheel until you get it clear of the transom. then make sure your feet aren't tangled in it...the rope that is...and let 'er go. hope that helps.
