Not at all. Look at The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and Rush. They're much older than 44.

NO, you can start a band snytime in your life. My band is call The Souls and I started it at 40. If you cannot get anyone to join though, think of becoming just a songwriter or solo artist.

Why should age be a factor? If it's a dream/goal, go for it! Aerosmith, Steve Tyler, is still going on.

If you mean a rock band, then I would say so... Most rock bands are at their peak when they reach their late 30s.
