Usually its for little kids who just babble. and well trained kids know that they shouldn't butt into stuff without bein invited.

But maybe some adults do fear the kids opinion. who knows.

usually tho a well trained kid who thinks more and babbles less will have a much more valid opinion.

What deep wisdom is a child going to impart to an adult..
How to make it in this world.
Who the next president should be.
How to raise a family.
How to be a good parent?
Children should listen more and learn, not that they can't talk a little.. Or they should talk to other children of their own age.

When I was 16 I knew it all, when I was 30 I found out I didn't know very much..

The adults who came up with this idea are just jealous. Kids generally have more interesting things to say than most adults I know. Children should be encouraged to share their opinions in a respectful and thoughtful way.

I don't fear what children have to say. There will always be a difference between adult conversation and conversations that are kid friendly.

It depends on what the child is saying. If their parents have taught them well then a parent need not fear their child.

Of course children are the future...when the future gets here. but for now, unless it's an emergency, children SHOULD be seen not heard.
