There is a device here in the USA called Mailbug, which is a small keyboard and screen which doesn't need a computer. But having checked with them it is not available in the UK, however there must be something similar?

Yeah you have a couple of options to do this !

You can browse the internet (and therefore send email) from your sky or cable set top boxes, though you will need to purchase a seperate keyboard to make this easier.

Another option is to use your mobile phone or blackberry - but again there are restrictions with this - the size of the screen, the size of the keyboard, cost of the handset and tarrif and the time taken to use it.

Argos used to do a phone that would connect to the internet - I dont think they do it anymore though.

The easiest option is to get a pc or cheap laptop !

Both Sky (a satellite company, broadcast on the Astra satellite) and cable companies offer a similar service.

There used to be something similar in the 'Argos' catalogue, i think it's from Amstrad(?) Sorry i can't remember the name of the product.

Also can't you send/receive e-mails on your mobile phone?
