Okay, yes, but why is it that one person chooses to go one way and another person, the other?
What enables a person to develop empathy?

Well I am a compassionate person because I been there and done that. Just like right now I hurt so bad with pain and cant do much but lay in bed for the last 6 months, so when I hear about someone hurting in any area it touches my heart. I feel for them deeply. I treat peole the way I want to be treat even if they are mean. Some people never forgive and they stay angry.

The compassionate and wise ones see themselves through empathy and they realize everyone makes mistakes and is on a learning path. The cynical and bitter ones are just selfish people who internalize everything.

Because those who grow compassionate and wise learn how to live, despite how others treat them. Those who grow bitter, live life because of how others how treated them.

Some people never stop learning,no matter what their circumstances and they realize what we do in this life is a choice--even if they are looking at difficult times they choose not to let it get them down--

That is the key point they are individuals people are unique and they always will have something unique about them so the decisions they have will differ from everyone else's.

some have the ability to forgive & learn from mistakes.
others continue to blame the world & everyone else for the things that happen in their life.

it depends how they were raised and the personal choices they make. it comes down to what they choose to do, whether it is good or bad.
