I presume your question was an attempt at dry humor! None of us really know Vice President Cheney. We only know what a biased and agenda driven media reports via the various mediums. Remember the hatred and bias the media promoted and reported on President Nixon. Actually, President Nixon was one of the most accomplished foreign policy presidents to ever occupy the oval office. Today, because of Nixon's brilliant foreign policy efforts, we are not at war with Communist China, rather we are buying their junk imports with our worthless dollars. Dick Cheney's future will probably be at home on the ranch, and if the media wants an interview, the price is $500,000.00 per hour, in Eurodollars, upfront. There is one clear and present danger much more frightening than Cheney, that being Osama Hussein bin Obama, a Muslim, in the oval office.

Cheney's a goon. And he thinks he's above the law. Picking him as a running mate would be about as politically savvy as picking Charlie Manson.
He IS part of the executive branch, obviously. As far as where he belongs, as far away from politics as possible. I think I'd like to see him in an Iraqi insurgent stronghold, with a blindfold over his head. I only hope he wouldn't get a heart attack before anything fun happened.

I wouldn't think so. Cheney has a very low rating. Besides the rating, no one will take the chance with him. Not to say they won't find someone just like him.

Doubtful most presidential candidates do not want the VP with his own agenda. The role of the VP is to assist the president not to have his own shadow govt.

Behind Bars.
No I don't think any Republican candidate would pick Cheney unless they were out of their god damn mind.

Think about this and answer your own question. Would you choose a VP candidate where more than 60% of his own party dislike him?

Cheney is too old, has failing health, another term as VP would probably kill him.

This question assumes that he won't just declare himself the Unitary Eminence in Charge of Everything and Answerable to No One and suspend elections, he could probably get his lapdogs in the Supreme Court to go along with that.

There won't be any future GOP candidate because Cheney is going to declare himself 1st Dictator of the US in 2009. Just like Caesar did.
