It's a good idea if you are genuinely interested (in the same way that you would be in another guy). But don't date a guy simply to use him as a social or sexual experiment. It's just as cruel when women do such things as when men do it. We all have feelings, and those feelings should be respected. However, as I said, if you are genuinely interested- if you truly like someone- it's a good idea.
Just be prepared for the possible backlash. I don't know where you live, so obviously I don't know what the people are like where you are- their attitudes and such. Just a warning. I always dated black guys, and I'm married to one, so I'm use to it. But it can be pretty overwhelming for folks who aren't accustomed to the horrible treatment that many people receive.

Yeah don't date him because he is black. But like someone said make sure he is not a thug azz jigga from the ghetto. You would really hate black men if you met one like that. I am a black man so take my advice. My girlfriend is asian and I treat her like a queen, so we are not all bad. But I will say be careful because most black men don't have their heads on straight like I do. Not to brag because I'm not all that.

it would only be a bad idea if u're not genuinely attracted. if u wanna date a black guy, then u should by all means. i'm assuming that u're asian-american & dating whites is dating outside ur race, so u're already used to that. i myself have dated both (plus latinos) & i have to say that i'm glad i did because i can make a more informed decision about what i like in a potential husband without the feeling that i'll be perpetually "curious".

If you are dating people to experiment, it's never a "good idea". I have dated men from different ethnic backgrounds, as I do not have a preference. Date men who you are attracted to, treat you well, and are doing the things they're supposed to.

IT is not a bad idea as long as you choose one that is decent and doesn't live in the ghetto. The ghetto is a bad area for anyone that has not lived there! Get blacks that are successful and kind, and get to know them before you pick them.

Date whoever you're attracted to. If you're attracted to a particular black man, go ahead and date him if you want to. Don't feel like you have to date a black man because you think you're being racist or something.

If you're not black, don't try it. It's probably not for you. Black men are complex and have way more to offer than the color of their skin. The fact that you wanna "try" a black man speaks to your inabilities to see men as people. So, if you're looking for a specific "color" try beige, that's a wide variety of men, asian, caribbean, australian, italian...the list goes on.
PS. Get a clue hun, black men aren't the opposite of white men.

You should date a guy with the same interest as you. Or someone you're attracted too.
Does it matter what color his skin his or what type of guy he is.

charlie D, you're just contradicting youself because earlier on, you said that you weren't racist. By saying that he might 'impregnate' her or 'steal her purse' obviously means you are, You are not just 'observing cultural differences' or any other crap so if you are a racist you might as well admit it before saying you aren't them making a comment like that.
