Why do the harley people bash the others here but get upset when it comes back on them?

terry s I hate the riders, The way they all transform into Billy Bad@ss when they buy those piles. The way they think every woman loves a green toothed tool with a crapo bike. The way they talk smack about the sportbikes but can't take it when someone says something about their crap. The first words out of their mouths are "I've got a Harley I spent waaayyyy too much on it" Wgaf. Its some type of super show off status symbol. Like, hey look at me I bought some over priced piece with 100 year old technology. Now I am an authority on toughguyness and whats cool. so many of them are nothing but wanna be bikers that ride from poser point to poser point.

I'd be pretty mad if i spent 20k on a bike too. you heard me and the guy that was claiming Harley's produces all this horsepower if full of it. i can buy a jap bike that is a 1700cc engine (Yamaha), a 1800cc engine (Honda) , a 1900cc engine (Yamaha) , or a 2000cc engine (Kawasaki) motorcycle. now that's real power. unless you compair these bikes to the boss hoss, there isn't really any competition out there. and all of a sudden Harley wants to make their bikes with fuel injection and abs brakes, wonder where they got that idea? don't get me wrong, there's a lot of Harley's still on the road today, they just couldn't make it home cause they broke down. but ill ride with anyone even if you do need to barrow my tool kit to fix your bike.

The reason most bikers have a go at Harley riders is that Harley riders always take the bait and start getting upset.
It really is fun to watch so we always have to think of something derogatory about Harley's ( doesn't matter if it is true or not, that's not the point) then we can watch them rise to the bait, which they invariably do.
At the end of the day, a Harley is a motorcycle, so is a Triumph and a BMW, I don't have a problem with ANY motorcycle. I wish I could live long enough to ride them all.
Harley Riders should understand that it isn't their bikes that get bashed, it is THEM!

You are full of crap, when was the last time you actually saw a Harley owner/rider post an inflammatory question about a metric?
Yet almost daily some little know-it-all with a Honda Rebel or Ninja 250 posts an insulting question about Harley, or even worse are the "Chesters" who don't even ride.
The only time I see derogatory remarks about metrics is in response to some little Jap ride'n sh!ts provocation.

I have seen people on here bashing Harley owners. I don't know what the deal is. you go buy what you like and enjoy it. if you don't like that kind of motorcycle don't buy it!
Motorcycle riders are some of the nicest people. Maybe you should go talk to some. I ride with all kinds of bikes on our runs. We are all having a good time and none of us are bashing each other.

It seems to be mainly the other way around to me, but that's just my observation. The bottom line hater, is that you are just a troll. You have 3 questions out there, all bashing Harley's and one answer also bashing Harley's. It doesn't matter if you are bashing someones bike, religion, life style, etc., you're still just a sad lowly troll and I feel sorry for you.

The only reason I don't like Harley's is because you could buy a very nice car for the cost of something you can only ride 5 or six months out of the year.

If it makes you happy, fine. If you don't have the money, enjoy something else, but don't think that just because you don't own a Harley you aren't a "biker" or member of the motorcycle community. That's ridiculous.

Its not Harley Owners that bash others. Its others who bash Harley owners.
Why? Simple. Cause they cant understand how it feels to ride such an engine. And I am not talking about the lifestyle, philosophy, way of life etc.
I am talking about a big engine that produces a lot of horsepower on really low rpm and a lot of torgue as well.
Most people think..."80 horses is a lot of horsepower?Nuh!!"
Well my friend, when it comes on 5000rpm it is a lot of horsepower. Consider this. Even the smallest Harley, 883cc goes only up to 5.500 rpm, weights about 250kg, yet it can reach the speeds of 180km/h. THAT...IS A BIG DEAL.
The bike accelarates while the RPM slowly increases. Instead other bikes, to race them they work on 18000rpm.For real...18000!!! Therefore its no wonder they produce 130hp.
By the way the VRod produces 127hp@7000rpm. Weights 290kg and goes up to 230km/h.Big deal?
And by the way Buell made a bike that produces 155hp@8000rpm that weights 165kg.
The old 1350cc Harley Evo engine (before 2001)produced 14+kg of torgue @ 2750rpm while the brand new 2007 1100cc Ducati engine produces 9+kg @ 5500rpm.
People ignore this facts, therefore they cant understand why somebody chose a Harley instead of a 600cc Speed Devil. Therefore THEY are bashing them.
I own a V Rod and I am constantly under attack. I am riding on the highway doing 120km/h,minding my own bussyness when all of the sudden a Supertsport Rider spots me, accelarates up to 240km/h and passes me by as close as he can get. This happens all the ******* time by people who dont understand, dont give a **** a about our freedom of choice, think they are better.
You think Harley cant replace Iron with Aluminium and make a light bike? You think they cant make an engine that goes up to 18000rpm and live longer than a Japanese engine? (Lets not talk about Italians). A lighter aluminium engine? You think its a big deal to create a butt ugly yet aerodynamic bike? All aerodynamic bikes seem like bees to me.

maybe because your aTINY WHINY MINORITY the last year I found complete figures for is 2004 total number of street motorcycles sold in the us604,396 total Harley's sold 317,289 all other brands combined 287,107 if the truth hurts shut up & enjoy your ride like the rest of us, we are all on 2 wheels
