Do you think the government should allow them to continue airing or find a way to shut them down?
I know what I would feel like doing, but that would make me a hypocrite. I believe that they should be allowed to continue airing, but if I were in power I would probably want to shut them down.
So the second questions is, are you a hypocrite too?

I wasn't thinking of blatantly calling for violence, but more of subtlety inciting riots and such.

It depends on what you mean by overthrowing the government. If we are talking armed revolution, then that kind of planning is illegal. However, calling for the removal of the president or asking for peaceful reform of the Constitution is protected, and even encouraged by our existing laws.

the media is run by the government if an anchor or any newscaster felt the need to display an intent to overthrow the government, then the government would undoubtly take it off the air immediately.

The Constitution already allows for them to be shut down. They only broadcast by license of the FCC. Inciting insurrection is a crime and would cause them to lose their licenses.

Encouraging revolution through violent action IS against the law and is declaring war against the US (treason). It's important that the constitution be upheld in all aspects, not just a few.

Those channels would not do that because they are a liberal station and the government is run by liberal ----they are happy! So they would not even give that a second thought. So as for your second question need no answer.

Continue to air. If Hitler/Nazis were running the US Govt. would you want the 3 major news networks being shut down by the Govt because they were promoting getting rid of the Nazis?
