Well as I'm sure you are aware Harley actually went out of bussiness in 1969 or 70. The reason was said to be their antiquated motor design. The couldn't compete with the Japanees manufacturers in proformance and reliability. I can't remember offhand what year the Davidson family bought back the company but they did bring them back big. The point of this is that every manufacturer that about put Harley under because of their antiquaited design now makes a carbon copy as one or more of their models. A Rolex watch will cost you quite a bit, but you can buy one from China for next to nothing. What the hell they both tell time but which would you rather have?
As far as the toughguy, if someone gets in your face with an attitude, get back in his face. If you put him on his ***, your the tough guy. If he puts you on your ***...opps guess he's the tough guy. This holds true for any brand of bike, make of car or other situation.
I'm thinking you've never been to a bike run or event. You mind you manners and others will mind theirs. If trouble comes ask yourself if you were a contributing factor. Then what you do with it is up to you. This hold true for Sponsored events, club runs, biker bars, redneck bars, open road, parking lots, grocery stores.....get the picture.
I do reconize Harey riders tend to be snobs. They usually on wave at other Harley riders unless they concider themselves to be 1%ers. Then they wave at no one. In about 1972 when I started riding I rode a Royal Infield. I waved at everyone. I got my first Harley about ten years later, I still wave. It's the sharing of a common interest that I wave not what you're riding. But hell I've got a Jeep and a Corvette and drivers of those wave at each other as well.
I guess, finally, the answer to your question. Enjoy what you ride, don't worry abuot the other guy.

I'm not real sure why you hate people that ride Harley's but I'm sure its a personnel choice , I myself could really care what somebody rides weather it be a Honda Rebel are a Harley Hog ,We really have enough of this Bad mouthing each other over politics and religion and do not need it in the Motorcycle category. The motor cycle community puts on a Lot of really good rides for Children ,Toys for Tots and whenever a brother has gone down .and its all kinds of Bikes from Sport to Cruiser .Sure you got your A*S*S holes in every crowd with their "I'm Better than you because I ride a Harley or a Gold wing " people like that must feel insecure in them self and believe me we all have meet these kind .I ride with guys that ride Hardleys and I ride with guys that ride Hondas ,Kawasucka*s*s, Suzukill and YamaHaha ha and we all just like the ride !/peace

they are pretty tough guys they have to be imagine having to clean oil slick from every place they park thats why they always look like they need a bath. Give me a clean POWERFULL VMAX which will Wipe the pants off those oily
hardly boys anyday. But joking aside who cares what bike anyone rides its the thrill of the ride not the make or model
so cmon guys quit yer bitchin we should be one big bike riding family. When i was younger i had probably one of the leakiest oil dripping bikes ever a 650 BSA I didn't mind keeping a dirty old oil rag in the tool box, So lets give the hardly boys a cheer as well as the yamahahaha boys
and the kawasuckers hip hip hoooray

Knock Harley Riders by all means, they set themselves up for it but you should not knock the bikes.
You should not tar the machines with the same brush as some of the people who chose to ride them.
They are, after all, built better than any Chinese bike I know of. That counts for something doesn't it?
