In the fall your rose will produce hips that are big and round and very colorful. Harvest the hips and let them dry and then you will have seeds. Here is a really nice article on how to harvest the seeds and how to grow roses from the seeds.

You're better off using cuttings. Pick a stem where the flowers have faded and plant it in soil. It will grow from that.
