Hand Raised.
Anybody who doesn't even have the common sense not to leave a three year old together with even younger twins, for such a long time and out of eyesight is so irresponsible and yes, this is bad parenting.
No one is saying parents don't make mistakes. And yes maybe we do get lucky that we catch them in the nick of time before they could get hurt etc.
Theirs wasn't an emergency situation, like running out to the local shop to buy medicine at 10pm, or running to a neighbour quickly for a few minutes.
It was to relax, wine and dine and have a fun evening, why not put the kids into the creche which was there for this reason.
I hope they are prosecuted for neglect.
My thoughts are all for Maddy's safety and return back to the UK.

As a mother I sympathize with them and I hope Madeline will make a safe return. But yes I think that by leaving the children unsupervised was definitely bad parenting. Now I don't think that prosecuting them is the issue because they have been punished enough but they were neglectful to say the least by leaving their children.

I think it is more than lack of judgement, etc......both hands are raised here!
Everyone and anyone knows you do NOT leave a 4 year old and twin 2 year olds to go out and dine...."checking on them periodically"........
Now that I am reading more about it (and my first thought was) this sounds like a set-up. If it really was a set up - then I will hold up a spider and his 8 legs with my two hands.

Whether they're bad parents remains to be seen. At the least they made a very stupid decision that might have cost their daughter her life or her future life (child pornography.) I pray that she is found soon and well, but they must pay the price for not protecting her.

They should hang their heads in shame but instead they seem to be making a career out of their child neglect.

as a parent myself no i dont think so they made a choice that was not great but you ask any parent and they answer honestly they will say many times they have done something stupid that could have caused pain or death to their child/children. They just got lucky nothing did happen unlike the Mc Cann's

I think they were incredibly naive and now they've paid a terrible price. I wouldn't call them bad, just extremely poor in judgment.
