and you're surprised? If you live in South FL, I would probably say check with Howard Finklestein. this would not be the first time DCF has done something like this, which was why they have changed heads so many times.
Even try the governor's office or the state atty generals considering your problem is with DCF, and this one is famous for trying to push things under the rug

I hate to tell you this, but once DCF marks you as "bad parent," you don't have any consent rights. They do what they want. I have been in the DCF system in my Northeastern state, and the first thing I lost was the right to any consent concerning my son. You have to get a very good lawyer in order to remedy this. Some social workers may be sympathetic with your feelings, but many are not and run slipshod all over you.
