The only not-mainstream bands I can think of right now are Jet Lag Gemini, Say Anything, I Am Ghost, The Matches... very good bands, but they're not mainstream or as popular as FOB and MCR.

Mushroomhead! very talented and amazing, but are not on the radio, except sattilite radio at times, but rarely.. they mix rock/metal/deathmetal/rap/techno into their music. many have heard of them, but have not heard thier music.
