i cannot remove programs in the control panel i have windows
xp sp2 home edition i used to be able to click change/remove
and where i would click change/remove it's not there it's gone so as of now i cant remove my programs does anybody have any idea on how can fix it please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on the sidebar of the control panel, there should be a "Swith to Classic View" or a "Switch to Category View" try those both, and it should help you. and if that dont work, just download a program called "Your Uninstaller", google it.

Seems they have changed the format.In the top right corner of add and remove page it only has remove.Select what you want to remove and click the remove tab.Good luck.

some times if you turn off and turn on your computer it will come back.
also you can go to majorgeeks.com and download ccleaner which has a tool part that has a list of all the stuff that is on your computer- when ny computer dose that I use ccleaner to uninstall stuff.

Try using an alternative tool to uninstall the programs, CCleaner is a good tool for that. ( http://www.ccleaner.com )

remove programs:

XP:

all programs--add/remove programs--click--remove

Vista:
start--default programs--programs and features--click--delete

both XP/Vista:
my computer/computer--local disk drive ( c )--windows--programs--right clivck program--select delete

both XP/Vista:

windows key + letter R--regedit--edit these 3 hkeys,right click program--select delete:
hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\program
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\program
hkey_user\software\microsoft\program

XP:

MY DOWNLOADS FOLDER

start--my documents--my downloads folder
right click program and select delete

Vista:

start--documents--downloads folder
right click download program--select delete
