I've been looking at a few cars, and I really want a strong engine in my car. I've been looking at the following:
Cadillac Seville STS 300hp
Cadillac Eldorado ETC 300hp
Ford Taurus SHO(96+) 235 hp
Lincoln Mark VIII 290hp
Infiniti I30/Nissan Maxima 190hp
Which cars would be the most reliable, and which would be the fastest?

Forget it all, and get a Escort RS2000 for speed,
Toyota celica for reliability AND speed

Out of your choices, the Cadillac is going to be the most fun, and if you want hp, then there you go!

The Ford products have so many issues w/minor things that it will get annoying, and the I30, being discontinued, will be an excellent value, and be a vehicle that you can easily put on 300K miles with proper maintance.

I encourage you to view the Consumer Reviews through internet searches, car forums, and my personal favorite, Edmunds.com-under "Used Car Reviews".

Based on a quick check, the Infiniti is rated the most reliable engine, and the Ford, Cadillac, and Lincoln can be troublesome after 100K miles. Espcially with quality/trim/minor things b/c of low quality materials used.

Go for Japanese for reliability, Cadillac for kahunas!

Good luck man.

They'll all go 70 mph. How much do you need? How good is your driving?
For reliability take a look at Toyota.
