I like John Mellencamp because always sings about the heart of America that I can relate to. And the "Authority Song" is my favorite!!

Bob Seger is the best of these three but Bruce Springsteen has probably made the most impact.
Interesting jazz question!

I've seen them all perform live, but Springsteen is the only one I've seen a second, and later a third, time.
All three were good, but Springsteen's doing some stuff nobody else is doing (as usual) rather than relying on past glories. The Seeger Sessions tour was fascinating--nobody ever hears professional rock musicians play American folk music. He also did an acoustic tour without a backup band.

Springsteen is the one.
Mellencamp is very good, but not as good as Springsteen. Seger is just annoying.

If we're talking about jazz here, i'll pick The Boss!
He has a jazzy side with "Streets of Philadelphia" and "Secret Garden".
"The Cougar" has a more folk and country side. While Seger is more on rock and roll.
