There are LOTS of incredible basketball players around the world. Among them are people with highly specialized skills, "Air Up There" is no exception.
It's unfortunate that the NBDL and CBA are not bigger than they are. Here in America, all the fans have the attitude "There's the NBA and everyone else sucks!" That's just an ignorant notion.
There are plenty guys worth watching if they could play together for 18 months and get a fan base. The Yakima Sun Kings are a team that comes immediately to mind. They have a good team and fan base BECAUSE the fans hung in there while the team became better.
