Speaking in terms of canon, no, he does not.

In the film, however, it's always a possibility - continuity with the books has never been one of the directors' priorities. ;)

In the book, no, he doesn't. In the film, I believe he does. In the book, Umbridge only wanted Harry and Hermione to come along with her into the Forbidden Forest whilst Ron, Ginny, Neville, and Luna are still being held captive by the Inquisitorial Squad in Umbridge's office. Then they break free and join Harry and Hermione in the forest after Umbridge is carried off by the Centaurs and Grawp saves the Harry and Hermione from being carried off too.

I just read that part of the book today and can say it is only Harry and Hermione in the forest with that old hag. But I would believe it if in the movie they sent Ron in also. The book is so long and they will have to cut a lot of it out of the movie to make it a watchable length. With that in mind, I can't see them keeping in the whole thing of Harry sneeking into Umbridge's office and all the kids getting caught. I imagine they they will just make it so that they all went into the forest together to save time.

In the book, it;s just Hermione and Harry. I believe Ron is rounding up the DA. By the way, it the Forbidden Forest not the dark forest. Not sure about in the movie though. after all, ron went to detention with them instead of Neville in the first!

In the book, only harry and hermione enter the forbidden forest with umbridge, and then ron and luna and neville and ginny come, and then they take off to London
.....the movies always mess it all up

Ron didn't go because the mean professor umbridge only wanted hermonie and harry to go with her in the dark forest.
