WWE professional wrestler Chris Benoit his wife Nancy and their 7-year-old son were found dead in their home in Fayette County on Monday afternoon.
Lieutenant Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department said the three were found about 2:30 p.m., but he would release no other details.
On their Web site, World Wrestling Entertainment officials said that Benoit and his family were found dead on Monday afternoon.
The statement said, "World Wrestling Entertainment is deeply saddened to report that today Chris Benoit and his family were found dead in their home. There are no further details at this time, other than the Benoit family residence is currently being investigated by local authorities. Monday night's 'Raw' on USA Network will serve as a tribute to Chris Benoit and his family."

All that is said is that he was NOT shot to death but HE did call out of work due to family emergency another source said that his wife and son were coughing up blood.

It's not a joke, it's not a stunt, it's not a storyline. Chris Benoit and his wife and son Daniel are really dead.
Fayette County, Georgia police are investigating Benoit's house following the discovery of the bodies, and no details have been released other than to announce that Benoit was not shot to death.[83]

It's really a shock for all of us. I mean not only is Chris Benoit dead, but the same goes for his wife and son. I mean they were found dead in there home. There has to be something more to this story. Gosh it just makes me feel sooo sad and makes me cry. Especially when I see the various WWE Superstars talking about Benoit and to see that they are literally holding back their own tears.. It just strikes me very hard. Man, it just sucks real real bad. Gosh, the three hour tribute to him tonight will be painful, but all we can do is pray for him as well as his killed family members, his family members who are still alive, and honor his wonderful career and life.

WWE Raw will be a tribute to Benoit. All previous plans for Raw have been scraped.
UPDATE: Daniel was their only child together. He was about seven years old. Says one friend: "Chris and Nancy were known to have a volatile relationship, but their son was the saving grace for both of them."
Benoit has another son from his previous marriage who is in Canada at this time.
UPDATE: Benoit was scheduled to wrestle in Beaumont, Tex., but WWE personnel were told he missed the show due to a family member being sick. He was last seen by WWE personnel at last week's TV tapings.

No one know all the details yet. He did call in Sunday to WWE saying his family was ill and spitting up blood.
police found the bodies at around 4pm local time and that police would not say how the family died other than they were not shot to death.
police were dispatched to the Benoit home after receiving a call from WWE officials who were concerned that they were not able to get in touch with Benoit.

This is for real. There's no way in hell WWE would make one of their top superstars "go out" the same way Vince went off camera. A terribly sad day for all.
