I have a factory car alarm in my Honda Civic and my brother pressed something that now when I arm it the lights don't flash and the car doesn't honk like it used to to let me know I locked the doors. The panic button still works sounds when you push it. It's not the battery in the remote either cause I tried both remotes that I have. How do I get it to arm the way it used to? Please help!

I dont know what year your car is; on the older ones (ex 1997 vintage) you can turn the horn and light function on and off by holding both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons down at the same time and, as you are holding them down, watch the red LED that will light up on the top of the remote. That LED will come on when you press and hold both buttons down and stay on for about 1 second. when the LED light goes out, you can release the two buttons. The horn and lights should then come on when you press the lock button twice. doing the same procedure when the horn and lights are working will turn the horn and lights off.

I don't think this procedure works on the newer models. I'm going to guess that if the remote used to work as you say that you have an older model that can be "fixed" by doing the above.

hope that helps
