I am trying to figure out which ac coolant to put in my car but im blind apparently and cant find the compressor!!! HELP

Bottom left of the front of the engine.

If you have a 2.2 liter engine, the compressor should be located on the passenger side, near the rear of the engine compartment, down toward the bottom (a really bad place to get at). You don't need to find the compressor, though, if you want to know what kind of coolant. Since the early '90s, all American cars with A/C have used R-134 coolant by law.

There will also be a sticker on the panel above the radiator that states the type of coolant installed.

The compressor on 2.2 Cavaliers is mounted low just behind the passenger headlight. Look directly below the alternator, which is on top and is easy to find.

You don't put refrigerant in at the compressor anyway. Your vehicle uses R134A. There is a low-side fitting in the suction hose that runs on top by the belt. If you follow it, it should go into a silver-looking cylinder at the passenger side rear of the engine compartment (on US vehicles).

Find your AC lines where you put Freon in and follow it down you will see it Has a big clutch on it and it is free turning, hope this helps
