If you sign paperwork to receive benefits at your job, do they take out more money out of your paycheck?

Usually medical and dental benefits will cost you money. But they should have first explained this to you and told you how much it would cost. They should not take money out unless you have agreed to it.

Sometimes other benefits are free and paid for by the company. This should have been explained to you. Go see your Human Resources department and ask them for an appointment to see you. Ask your questions and don't be afraid. Benefits are not one single thing, but many different things, each with their own set of rules. Make sure they explain all of this to you. You should not be left in the dark.

there is no one answer. each company is different. you must ask the person in your benefits or human resources dept. to explain their policy to you. if there is no benefits or hr person, ask your manager. it's very important because you want to know what you are paying for and how much!
