MSNBC news is not reporting it either but FOX News just broke the story (as of 7:44 CST). I realize wrestling is not as big nationwide as it is to its hard core fans, but wrestling is a top-rated cable show and Chris Benoit is a major star.
And sadly, the mysterious news surrounding his death is also something that I would think makes "good news" (hate to phrase it that way, but you know what I mean).
This should be a top story, so I do think Yahoo and others have missed the beat. But obviously all that really matters is the Benoit family - pray for them.

I know, and I can't believe it. I didn't even know about it until I checked Y! Answers. Shame on Yahoo. They're obviously too busy digging up the next big story about Paris Hilton.
My heart goes out to Chris Benoit's family, and may he Rest In Peace.
He was truly awesome.

Chris Benoit was a tremendous guy and an awesome performer. God Bless all his family...He will be missed by all who were wrestling fans.

I'm afraid Mr. Magic is correct, it's sad that he died, but it's not news. Death happens. I never understand why celebrities lives are considered 'news'.
