What are your biggest peeves?
What would you like customers to do/not to do?

Just trying to be a more courteous customer, since I used to work in retail and I know it sucks!!

What's up? I just got home from work in America's largest retail store. I would like to tell people that a cashier does NOT know every single price on every freakin' item in the store. I don't know how much something that I've not even seen before is, and I really don't care that you didn't find what you were looking for. Why tell me folks? Even if I told them, what will be done to correct the situation? Uh, how about diddly squat! It annoys me when peons insult my intelligence by telling me something I already know or tell me how to do my job when I've done it for over 5 years! Why can't grown men and women be sensible and responible to carry an ink pen of their own and not grab mine without asking for it... or even putting it in their mouths... sheesh! I get irritated when customers (women, by and large... honest to goodness now!) rush me in their annoying habit of trying to help me do something in bagging merchandise when in utter reality it is a covert attempt to hurry me the heck up. Why is it that people think it's their fifth amendment right to get out of a asap? When it's time for me to go home and my line has a closed sign and my light is off... it is time for me to GO! I'd like customers who have more money than me to carry their pen, not tell me how much something costs cause I probably don't know or need to know really since it's in the register's system, and instead of insulting my intelligence or manhood... look, think, and be patient! I could go on and on and on.... but I won't.... thank you for letting me vent some. Thanks kindly!

I quit retail about three years ago. My biggest pet peeve was when they would ask me, "Do you work here?"

I hated when customers would interrupt me while I talking to another customer to find out where an item was located. I'd also hate it when they'd ask me something from across 8 aisles.

Customers can be more respectful, courteous, and patient.

It's been many, many years ago but as a teen I worked a cash register and I hated people piling up a entire buggy of stuff in one little bitty space.

Oh where do I start. . .Take a bath and brush your teeth, get off your cell phone of you want my help, and try to remember that we all have bad days and no one is perfect. Most of all just try to be pleasant and realize that we are just trying to be helpful and don't bite my head off if I ask you a couple of questions.
