i'm learning to do the front splits, i know the back leg should have a good turn out, and i need to get better at them because i don't want to shred my knee. so a few exersizes would help. thanks for your help.

Butterfly is a good exersise. You know, when you sit on the floor, pull your feet towards you and let your knees come apart. Press on your thighs with your hands and hold. Getting your sideways split will help too.

One exercises for turnout that I believe is good is laying on your stomach with your legs behind you in a butterfly position (both feet against each other) and try to get your toes on the ground then your heels and when you get your entire foot on the floor move them closer to your body.Sorry if I didn't explain it good.
