Because they remain anonymous. They don't have to worry about consequences - retaliation - nor about feeling bad,because assuming they really do hurt someone's feelings they won't know it. Cruelty by remote.

Because they can. Some people are just nasty in general.

(i cannot guarantee that i will not give a nasty answer to a stupid question. however, this is a pretty valid question)

Perhaps you shouldn't ask a question if all you're looking for are answers that you agree with.

simple...because they can without fear of consequences...if you don't like it you can always block the person...
