best modern pg? Jason Kidd. a big point guard with cat-like steps and quickness with the ball. one of the few point guards in history that plays solid D and has better rebounding average compared to some big men in history. he's Oscar Robertson with less scoring.

the best ever? Magic Johnson. a point guard in a pf/sf body.

the best point guard now is hands down steve nash with his back to back mvp trophies and leading the leauge in assist for two years in a row now, the best point guard in history obviously is john stockon who is the all time leader in assist, but if we are talking about scoring point guards isaiah thomas is on top of the list stockon is the best pure passer

hmmm, Tony Parker is the best point guard in the league today. All time, I'll give you a three-way tie for first:
1) Magic Johnson
2) Oscar Robertson
3) Bob Cousy

Take your pick.

For current players, I'd say Steve Nash. For guards all time, that's a tough one and it's hard to say (too many great ones). I guess I would go with Isaiah Thomas.

there are pg that breaks ankles, blind passes, drive through the lane, scores and even posterizes big men... being the best point guard rises into leadership... so far the only point guard that leads his team to the finals and won 2 larry obrien trophies is isiah thomas...

so ill stick to him... i really respect the pioneers of the game... its more competitive before than the game today....even though the players today are so versatile, the games before are like in the movies man... whew... just watch it...
