Because the button on the side of the phone is pressed while it is in your pocket and it takes pretty pictures of inside your pocket. All you can do is try to lock your phone i guess but if its not worth locking your phone theres no harm done anyways so locking your phone may be a waste of time all you have to do is just delete them every now and then.

With some phones you are able to take pictures when it is closed so if so then you may be pressing the picture button on the outside by accident.

Is the camera button locked? Or do you have it set so that it takes photoes on a regular interval?
