Has either George W. Bush or Dick Cheney ever been arrested? How about charged?

I heard that police once considered charging Bush with DWI.

President Bush had a DUI in his youth. To the credit of his dad, no political strings were pulled and he was fined, had his license suspended and that was that.

Now that you have had us respond to a question you obviously already knew the answer to, will this make you sleep better tonight or something?

We are conservatives. We do our best to be good, law abiding citizens. Some of us did things more befitting a liberal in our youth. That was before we became enlightened.

As hard as it is for us to admit, we sometimes made mistakes. But we do admit them. Of course, liberals can go through rehab six or seven times for booze or drugs and be lauded as brave victims striving to overcome their demons. But as conservatives, we know such things will be thrown up in our faces for the rest of our lives by liberals (some of whom are currently on probation).

Cheney was convicted of drunk driving twice during an eight-month period in the early 1960s in his home state of Wyoming. The two convictions came when Cheney was 21 and 22 and resulted in fines and a brief suspension of his driver's license.

Considering - my foot! The chimp was charged with DUI not once but twice in TEXAS and he also had cocaine use and abuse on his record. His daddy got all of it expunged in the 1980's. As for Cheney, I can't speak for that goof-ball!

DUI, he was thirty at the time. He was leaving a BBQ at his families house. He probably had a few and got pulled over.
