You have no reason to lie. Actually, people think more of those who are willing to be honest & own up to their mistakes. Just tell her you were trying to make her happy, but realize by lying about it you not only made her feel bad, that you also feel bad. Just apologize & tell her she can trust you to be honest w/her from now on because being a true friend you have no reason not to be honest.

Real friends don't lie to each other. Real friends also respect each other's beliefs. Explain to your friend why you didn't want to go to her church and also why you lied. Everyone makes mistakes, but the mature thing is to come clean and apologize. She already knows you lied to her and if you don't make an apology, you'll probably lose her as a friend.

You should tell her the truth. But first, think about why you lied, and if you had good reasons, or if they are just excuses. Are you shy? Did she invite you to attend services, and they you said you had gone? Not everyone has the same beliefs, so that's a justifiable reason not to attend someone else's church. If you are shy to go alone, ask if you can attend with her. Most churches are used to visitors, and will treat you nicely if they know you are a guest.

You should come clean. If this friend is a good friend and you have a reasonable reason for lying, then hopefully she will forgive you. People make mistakes, it is part of life. Learn from your wicked ways and do better next time.

Let's see, to sum up. Come clean: 10
Don't come clean 0.
The truth will set you free so fess up and learn from this lesson/mistake. Apologize sincerely and ask what you can do to make amends.

it's always good to just come clean because it at least gets it off of your concious. Plus if you really value her as a friend you should want to be honest. Just tell her the truth and say you are sorry. She'll prolly be mad at first but if she is a good friend she'll forgive you and you two will have a stronger relationship.

Absolutely come clean. You were caught now you just gotta fess up and apologize profusely. Don't cover up a lie with another lie. You're better than that!

you;ve been caught. Fess up and take your lumps. Apologize and move on. The worst thing you can do is continue to lie when they know you lied to begin with.

I think you should tell the truth but your friend might end up hating you.But a good lie might be to say there was a family emergency or something but it is your choice. Hope I helped

Hmmm. Lying about church? Confession is the only way to go here. I suggest you actually attend church so you can know right from wrong. (Yes, lying is wrong).
