A sore foot will always cause a problem. When i was a little girl I step on a broken coke bottle (bottle was glass and about 2and half inches wide) I am now old and time to time the pain still hurts.
april----6 months all together for it to heal completely and the pain should get less but i would keep put it up on a pillow until it heals competely.

I would say you are walking on it too soon.

I broke mine a few years ago. On June 5th. In a wheel chair because of the potential of re breaking it and never walking again, till about the end of August. 3 Months. Then crutches for 5 weeks of Physical therapy. After Physical therapy I had no pain and it healed perfectly.

It still felt slightly vulnerable. But 7 years later it is still quite fine. It has two plates and 8 screws holding it together.

So I was four months before putting my full body weight on it.

If yours is in pain when you walk, it is not healed. So do not mess around. It will come back to haunt you at a later date.

Don't know if this will help you or not, but I tore a tendon in my foot a few years back and it took almost a year till everything was back to normal, actually, better than before...all depends on your body and how much you want to stress the joint/break in your activities really
