Could be two tings, either you A/C need to be charged or the compressor has gone out. in which case it will have to be replaced, also could be the clutch that operates your A/C. WHen you turn it on do you feel a change in your engine? If not that is most likely the problem

Ronb has it right. Sorta. If you mean out from under the hood, yes it certainly will....all that heat from the inside has to go somewhere! Now if you mean hot air is coming out of the vents with the a/c on....then it's time to hook up some gauges and see what's going on in the a/c system. If you don't know what the pressures mean, your not qualified to do this and can hurt yourself and/or your a/c system, possibly costing you plenty more than neccesary. I would take it a shop, preferably one you trust. Ask some friends and see who did good work at a decent price. And, good luck!

Well, if you got it on the a/c........... then its because you have no freon inside your a/c system. More than likely you have a leak of some sort. Part stores sell converter kits for older model cars if you would like to tackle the job yourself. Older models use R12. You can't buy this type without some sort of handling license. However there is a user friendly hybrid mixture, (I like to call it) 134a that you can purchase. If you don't feel comfortable servicing it yourself, then its best to take it to the shop...........

That's what an a/c system does. It throws out all the hot air so that all you have left is cool air.

Probably low on refrigerant, try getting it recharged,if it still blows hot air it could be the compressor, condenser plugged, evaporator expansion valve, and depending what year and type it could be the control programmer.

Depending on whether you have R-12,or R-134 you can buy a freon filling bottle with the oil already in it and sealer in it and fix it in seconds .If you are not sure how to do it,take it to your local repair center.
