Isaac Hayes is still alive and is currently filming a part in a movie slated for release in 2008 titled: "Knight Fever."
He quit the job of Chef on South Park in March 2006, due to an episode they aired which Hayes felt mocked Scientology of which Hayes is a dedicated member.

NO!! Mr. hayes is still alive and kicking,I believe his wife just had a baby a year or 2 ago!!! but he still is performing,he is getting ready to celebrate 50 years of Stax records!!..he was a songwriter,producer,and performer on the soul label

Not that I've heard. I'm pretty sure he's alive and kickin'. If he 'd died, it would've been on the news and our sector would be all a-buzz with it. As far as I know, he's still doin' Chef on South Park.
