YES! I have less money now with my current husband than I did with my ex but I am happy now. I was miserable with my ex husband and I didn't care if I had to lose my house and/or car or whatever as long as I could be happy. Money can't buy happiness really rings true in these situations. You can be happy living on less if you love the person you are with , love yourself and your life.

What's the point of having a "comfortable life", money, or any of that kind of thing if it doesn't make you happy? Having love and not having money can be hard on both of you, trying to make ends meet, but you can still be happy. I'd rather be happy with love than have money and be lonely and generally miserable.

I say no because what you call love isn't love at all but a accumulation of newness and lust which we all know doesn't last. So your bored with your comfortable life and full of resentment and a little hatred added in. It's just two sides of the same coin.In the end doesn't love turn to comfort so your right back where you started.

Define comfort. I am happy with my husband and we have the bare necessities of living. I consider that comfortable, but now well off.

I'll assume you are asking the old love or money question. I say this: You will always be happier with love than with money. However, if you have to struggle to survive, it can put a strain on the relationship. So, money won't make you happier than love, but love won't make you happy unless you have the necessities covered.

YES! I'd rather eat rice and cold tortillas with someone I loved than eat caviar and drink wine every night with someone I could barely stand. How comfortable could that kind of life really be anyway?

You bias the question to your favor. If you think you can live on happiness alone through the ups and downs of life, go for it.
