My partner lost weight and she had to be RE measured for her contraceptive cap...the new cap was 2 inches smaller!

Losing weight does change the proper size of the cap or diaphragm, because there is less adipose [ fat ] tissue in the abdomen and pelvis [ area inside, around vagina ]. You do not lose muscle mass in your vagina due to weight loss!
This will make the cap too 'loose' to fit properly, and can sneak some semen in.

no, because the vagina is muscle, not fat. what can contribute to the seemingly smaller issue is that sometimes when a person loses too much weight too soon, it can create muscle loss.

i can honestly say that i enjoy sex when i am heavier, verses that when skinny.....but that has to do with weight upstairs, not down.
