If your computer HAS wifi adapter all you really need to do is go to the control panel, networking, click on the wireless adapter, show all networks and click on yours.. it should prompt you for the security (if there is any) and let you connect. If you havent enabled security on your wireless router DO SO!
If you dont have a wifi adapter you have to get one and install the software for the adapter first. The connect.

It's simple. You will have to install the software for you modem before you will be able to connect to a WIFI connection. Follow the on screen directions and you will be ready to go. It takes about 5 minutes.
